- A Two Day Watercolor Class -
About a week and a half ago I taught a two day watercolor class at a local art venue here in Cottonwood, CA. I had 13 students and did three demo paintings. It was a great experience interacting with the ladies and fun was had by all (mostly me). The image below was the result of a watercolor portrait demo on the last day. There was a power outage in Cottonwood that morning and I couldn't print out the face that I wanted to paint, and Sandi Palmer, our hostess, gave me a print out of an Indian to use instead....so it is my first portrait of an American Indian. Let me know what you think, and have a wonderful week.

Comic Book Drawings
Printing Nightmare Comic Book Drawings. This image is for K6cards upcoming Toronto Comic Arts Festival. I didn't register for the show so this will be my only way to participate this year ( damn ). It's pretty cool though, the small press company is sponsoring the zine and they hired me to fill the honorable 5 x 7 space they have reserved in the book. Seems like everyone is helping everyone else here and everyonen wins, and not coincidentally, that is exactly what the alternative comics community is all about.
Tartu, a King of Kensington
I don't know, sometimes I get depressed with fears over the passage of time and the utter uselessness of existence. One of the things that keeps me going, just a brief, almost unconscious, yet glorious recollection, I think about seeing Tartu in the park. No matter how s---y things might get, the thought of that smiling canine romping through park and jumping over me as I read, creates a sensation that is, well hope. Honestly I see this furry guy maybe once a day for a total of 5 minutes, but I think about him when I'm down. Today I have to think about how he is very sick and likely is not going to be around at the end of the week. Tartu is 6 and a half and very much loved all thoughout Kensington Market. this sucks
sorry for the terribly rotten post, I had to put this somewhere because as long as it is inside me it keeps pushing water out of my eyes.

A Neverending Landscape
I started this landscape a number of years ago. It has a dreamlike, surreal feeling to it and I drag it out occasionally to work on it and then I put it back again. I plan to finish it some day. If any of you have suggestions on what to do with it - I would be very open to them.

Graffiti Street Art An old post from Blog T.O....
Was googling my name looking for pictures from a 2009 fashion show which are absent from my porfolio when I found this pleasant article from 2007. Neat and belated thanks!
p.s. Anyone have photos from the Gallery 1313 fashion show 2009? I saw some great ones online awhile back but can relocate them, also found this video ( my performance is at 6:15 -7:15 on the vid...)
